Frequently Asked Questions
-What should a camper expect from the Pro Style GK Camp
Campers should expect an intimate, intense, and professional experience hosted at the prestigious St. Lawrence University. This camp is founded on the ideals that help Coach Toshack reach the highest levels of soccer, and success that earned him championships at the NCAA, USL, and MLS ranks. The unique experience, success, and environment found at St. Lawrence is hard to emulate. We hope to provide a fun opportunity that will allow you to meet new people, train at a top college program, and understand what it takes to be a professional.
-How will this camp help with the recruiting process?
Many soccer camps provide an opportunity to gain college exposure, however, do not deliver the intimate environment to build a relationship, receive in depth training, and be properly evaluated. At the Pro Style GK Camp, you will be in smaller groups thus allowing you the opportunity to stand out, receive guidance, and improve your game at the same time. The style of training, competition, and experience you will receive the here will not just help make you more marketable to other schools.
-What is the difference between a residential camper and commuter camper?
A residential camper is one who will be staying in the dorms on campus for the duration of the camp. Whereas, a commuter will arrive and depart from the camp each day. Commuter campers will be able to leave the camp upon completion of their schedule for the day. Commuters will be expected to arrive around 8:00 - 8:30am and be picked up around 7:30 – 8:00pm each day.
-Do campers need a soccer ball?
Yes, all campers are expected to bring their own soccer ball to camp. Please be sure to properly label and track your ball as we are not to be held responsible if lost.
-Should campers bring money?
Up to you! There will be a cash only camp store available should your son want additional drinks or snacks outside of the designated meal times. Do not worry, cash will be collected at the start of camp by our Camp Administrator and kept on credit for your son. The remaining balance will be returned at the end of camp.
